How ACRCloud improved Clippsly’s moderation flow

Clippsly is a music streaming and publishing platform, founded in the United Kingdom in 2022, aiming at providing easy-to-use music sharing tools and most importantly our Roblox distribution pipeline. Our membership plans are simple, and one time purchases, you keep the membership forever.

Back in late 2022 we partnered with Roblox as one out of 2 companies that provide public DDEX pipeline access to Roblox, while this may sound great this has opened many issues that we had to start handling. Our main issue with our mission were people who came to us and started uploading tracks not owned by them, which created a moderation hustle for us.

We found out about ACRCloud in late 2024 when we were planning to transition our platform from freemium to a one-time-pay-ownership model. And in mid 2025 we’ve finally settled on ACRCloud’s Music Recognition tools, which have significantly helped us by finding us over 400 matches in user generated content.

However we still struggled with people who were coming to us with heavily modified files, with intention of bypassing such tracks to Roblox through our pipeline, that’s when in early June 2026 we found that ACRCloud has released their Derivative Works Detection (DWD) tools which were basically an extension of how audio fingerprinting worked, just more accurate due to its nature of searching small bitch of the provided audio.

ACRCloud significantly improved our platform’s automatic moderation mechanisms, and helped moderate hundreds of users, and hundreds of unauthorized work upload attempts on Clippsly.

In the past 30 days (May 3rd 2026-June 3rd 2026) alone ACRCloud helped us find and detect over 180 tracks which we swiftly rejected from our Roblox pipeline.

And over 500 tracks in the past 90 days (March 3rd 2026-June 3rd 2026),

To be completely honest, ACRCloud helped us grow, increase productivity, decrease human moderation, and overall make Clippsly a safer place for artists. ACRCloud helped our platform in a way that we cannot even explain, they’re reliable people to work with who create amazing tools.
