Emergency Safety Disclosures

Clippsly respects user privacy and follows a data minimization approach. We do not intentionally collect or retain information that is unnecessary for operating the service, maintaining security, or preventing abuse. As a result, certain information that may be available on other platforms may not exist within our systems.

Notwithstanding the above, where we reasonably believe that a person faces an imminent risk of death, suicide, serious self-harm, or serious physical injury, we may review, preserve, use, and disclose information available to us where necessary to protect life or safety.

Such disclosures may be made to emergency medical services, crisis intervention organizations, law enforcement agencies, or other competent authorities responsible for responding to the emergency.

We will seek to disclose only the information reasonably necessary for the purpose of preventing harm and may take reasonable steps to assist emergency responders using information available within our systems. We cannot disclose information that we do not possess, nor can we guarantee that available information will be sufficient to identify or locate a user.

Where applicable, these actions are carried out pursuant to:

• Article 6(1)(d) GDPR and UK GDPR (processing necessary to protect the vital interests of a natural person);
• Article 9(2)(c) GDPR and UK GDPR (where necessary to protect the vital interests of a person and the individual is incapable of giving consent);
• Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and UK GDPR (legitimate interests in maintaining the safety and security of users and the platform); and
• Any other applicable legal obligation or lawful basis available under relevant law.

Emergency decisions are made in good faith based on the information available at the time and may be documented for accountability, compliance, and security purposes.
